| Trip Description | Fife’s Peak is an long extinct volcano just off highway 410 near Chinook pass. It consists of a large open crater rim with a mix of smooth ridges and tall rock towers. For this trip we will go to the top of the smooth “Far West” ridge. Excellent views of Mt. Rainier are available along the way. This is a strenuous trip that involves travel up Crow Lake trail to a shoulder where just before the trail drops in elevation we turn right and do a no trail route up to the top of the ridge. This no trail route will be steep and has some loose ground while doing your own route finding trip. This is a challenging trip so please contact the trip leader to discuss experience prior to signing up. |
