| Trip Description | The Teanaway watershed to the north and east of Cle Elum offers many miles of delightful day hiking with fascinating geology, a variety of wildflowers, and in-your-face views of Mt Stuart. To make the most of it, we’re going to car camp for three nights at Beverly Campground, and hike for four days from trailheads nearby. Although Beverly Creek and Stafford Creek were burned by the Labor Mountain Fire last summer and consequently might be closed for hiking this summer, there are other fine hikes outside the burn area: Ingalls Pass (8 miles roundtrip, 2400’ elevation gain), Longs Pass (5.4 miles roundtrip, 2000’ gain), Esmeralda Basin and Lake Ann (8.4 miles, 2500’ gain), and the Fortune Pass Loop (11 miles, 2900’ gain). If Beverly Creek and Stafford Creek are open, other good hiking options are Bean Creek Basin (5 miles roundtrip, 1800’ gain) and Navaho Pass (11 miles, 3000’ gain).
