It was a beautiful day to explore the Hanford Reach North (or White Bluffs as most of us know it.) The temperature was in the mid-60s, there was little wind, and the desert was green with spring growth. We hiked to the second dune for about 6.74 miles round-trip. There is an elevation gain of 741 ft, most of it with a hill climb to get into the area and then again down and up the dunes. Views of the Columbia River and bluffs are beautiful and it offers a nice perspective of the Hanford area.
