| Trip Description | This will be a family oriented weekend at the Feathers climbing area in Frenchman Coulee near Vantage WA. IMAC leaders and top roped climbs and gear will be available. There will be people camping from Friday evening through Sunday however you may come just for the day on Saturday if that works best for your family. The goal of this event is to expose families who would like to go climbing to a safe environment to do so, there will be some teaching available and we are very interested in empowering you to safely and confidently venture out on your own. All ages are welcome. We will camp in one of the two coulees on either side of the feathers, the first major turnout down old Vantage hwy and the next one by the bathrooms, both should have ample room and don’t require reservations but can be rather busy this time of year as they are the first climbs on 90 to dry out. https://maps.app.goo.gl/f3CamNbafyWUsYs46. We have limited helmets but bike helmets work great for kids if you could bring those. Please meet with us in the morning on Saturday on the north side to go over safety procedures. Discover Pass is required but there is a kiosk at the site. Bringing extra water and toilet paper is a good idea. Please email me with any questions with the event name in the subject field. |
