Trip Description | A 64-mile mix of trail, meadow, scree and glacier travel over 7 days, through remote and spectacular terrain in Glacier Peak Wilderness and North Cascade National Park. Ice axe training and crevasse rescue practice will be provided before the trip. 60 miles and 21,300’ gain in 6 days + 1 day travel.
Day 1: Lady Express to Stehekin, lunch in Stehekin, shuttle to High Bridge, 7.3 miles 1500’ gain to Park Creek camp. Day 2: 9.8 miles on trail to Cascade Pass, 2.2 miles off trail to Kool-Aid Lake, 5000’ gain. Day 3: 9.4 miles 4800’ off trail gain to White Rock Lakes. Day 4: 8.2 miles 5000’ gain off trail to Hanging Gardens. Day 5: 8.6 miles 3200’ gain off and on trail to Image Lake camp. Day 6: 14.7 miles 1800’ gain on trail to Holden TH and campground, dinner in Holden. Day 7: Breakfast in Holden, shuttle to Lucerne, Lady Express to Fields Point. Crossing seven named glaciers and six passes above 7000’. |
