| Trip Description | Join us for a one-night overnight backpacking trip to one of Central Washington’s most underappreciated gems, the trail to Lost Lake and Manastash Lake, which winds through a diverse forest to two alpine lakes atop Manastash Ridge. This is a wonderful introduction to overnight backpacking in a beautiful, relatively low-key setting.
Mileage & Elevation -Total one way: ~3.5 miles The trail gains elevation steadily but at a manageable grade throughout, making it accessible for hikers of varying fitness levels. Itinerary Saturday, June 13 – Break camp and hike back to the trailhead (~4 miles). Drive home. This is a mixed-use trail dirt bikes are permitted in the area, so you may encounter them on the trail. They are generally courteous and easy to hear coming. Step to the side and let them pass. What to Bring ***If you plan to bring a child under 18, please include them in your reservation (a parent or legal guardian must attend and maintain responsibility for their child at all times). Please also email the trip leader describing you and your child’s level of backpacking experience so that we can evaluate whether this trip is a good fit.*** Maximum of 12 |
