Trip Description | Horseshoe Prairie is an excellent area for beginning cross-country skiers to practice basics like striding, gliding, turning, braking, and the most popular skill, getting up from a fall. We’ll take only groomed trails for six miles through meadows and open forest on gentle terrain with 500 feet of elevation gain. Dress for cold and wind, with flexibility to remove layers if the sun shines and the air calms. All participants must bring the ten essentials. Expect to return by 4:00 pm. |
