Trip Description | Cross country ski out to the new warming hut (Thanks to the blues crews and Blue Mountain land trust) on mostly flat trails. Depending on the snow, weather and group we could do a loop or go back the way we skied in! Horseshoe Prairie is always a beautiful magical place to be in the winter time. You can’t go wrong taking a break from the city to a winter wonderland adventure in the Blue Mountains! If you have never cross country skied before please email me and I can send you some PSIA official videos to watch and also teach a short lesson before we ski to the warming hut.
If needed you can rent skis, boots, and poles from I-MAC. See the rentals page for details. Contact for ski rental is Jim Langdon hikerjim@imacnw.org 509-943-3992 (no text) |
