Trip Description | With federal funding of U.S. Forest Service trail workers uncertain, the need for volunteer trail work is greater than ever. The Blues Crew leads trail work projects in the Blue Mountains. We have arranged for a special I-MAC project in the Blues on June 7, National Trail Day. This would be a great opportunity for you to give back to the trails and have a fun time with other I-MAC members in the mountains. Steve Ghan is the I-MAC point of contact. He has lots of trail work experience himself, serving as a crew leader on numerous logouts of the Pacific Crest Trail. We’ll likely do a variety of tasks, such as trimming brush, repairing tread, and sawing and removing logs across the trail. Transportation costs will be covered by IMAC. |
