Trip Description |
Join the Inter-mountain Alpine Club, Purple Sage Riders (a local chapter of the Backcountry Horsemen of Washington), and Washington Trails Association for an All-Women trailwork weekend, May 2-4. We’ll have a really fun time getting sections of the Wash Creek (near Fife’s Peak) and Pleasant Valley trails ready for summer. The work will possibly involve cleaning drains and ditches, brushing, repairing tread, and clearing fallen trees from the trail. The trip is headed up by WTA Volunteer Crew Leader, Lisa Black. If you’ve not worked with WTA before, visit the WTA volunteer page to learn more about what to expect. Specific details about what to bring to make it a comfortable weekend will be shared in April. We will be staying at the American Forks Campground just off the Hwy 410 & Bumping Lake intersection Friday and Saturday night for those who want to work two or three days. You may also join us for one day only. We will email all registered participants after April 18 with more details about the weekend. At that time, you will be asked to confirm how many days you are interested in volunteering. Sign-ups will close April 18th so the final details can be completed before the 24th. Lisa will add everyone to the WTA site at once on April 22nd. If you have trail work related questions, please contact Lisa at either lisa@wta.org or 425-259-1517 |
