| Trip Description | In this short spring backpacking trip, we’ll walk upstream from the mouth of the Deschutes River, where it flows into the Columbia River, three to four easy miles to a campsite at Colorado Camp on the Deschutes. It has a toilet! The terrain is open; we can expect to see wildflowers this time of year. The trailhead is just a two-hour drive from the Tri-Cities. Bring a water filter with your food and camping gear. We’ll stay one night.
