Participation
Join us in a wide range of hiking, backpacking, climbing, camping, snow-shoeing and cross-country skiing activities.
We are a robust organization of people who love the outdoors and focus on outdoor recreation and conservation in the Inland Northwest.
Our members have extensive knowledge of the parks, national forests, plants and wildlife, geography, campcraft, and trail and climbing techniques, which we happily share among us.
You get to enjoy the friendship and fellowship that grows among those who go on trips together, experience the hardships and achieve the triumphs.
We offer an extensive schedule of organized hikes and climbs, which range in difficulty from easy to hard. Each hike is led by a trained, experienced, and certified leader.
We go on dozens of hikes each year to places in the Cascades, the Columbia River Gorge, the Blue Mountains. We regularly visit the region’s National Parks, Wilderness Areas, National Forests, State Parks, and State Lands.
We focus on creating a welcome environment designed to encourage you to get outside and enjoy the best that nature has to offer in our area.
We welcome guests on all club trips. Anyone wishing to take part only needs to contact and register with the trip leader of any scheduled event or activity.

Annual membership gets you access to a wealth of hiking trail route maps and a variety of educational information housed on the I-MAC website.

Members have the opportunity to participate in training and get leadership certification.
The club has an active social committee which arranges picnics, slide shows, potluck dinners, and the annual New Year’s Day hike up Badger Mountain with a chili feed afterwards.
