Four hikers showed up at the McBee trailhead at 7:30am. The weather was cool with the temperature in the 50s. The sky was slightly hazy due to smoke from nearby fires. We did the loop in a clockwise direction. We hiked along the base of Kiona Ridge for about 1.5 miles to a junction and took the ‘wagon’ road up to the ridge top. We then headed westward on the ridge to McBee Hill (the highest point on Kiona Ridge). We saw a lone runner going up and down the McBee Hill.

After a brief snack stop on McBee Hill, we continued on the ridge westward to the McBee Road intersection. We then hiked about 2 miles on McBee Road down to the trailhead. We saw a group of 3-4 people with 2 dogs along the way down. The hike was about 7 miles total with about 1200 feet total elevation gain.
