Despite numerous delays due to weather and personal schedules, this trip finally went through. Upon arriving at Andies Prairie, the crew found that the snow conditions were good for igloo making with the top foot or so of snow being consolidated, compact snow. Under this top layer was a very soft layer that made for a very good cementing layer between the layer of igloo bricks. We spent most of the day cutting and assembling snow blocks into our igloo. Each of us got to make brick covered side tunnels sticking out the side in order to place our bodies. This allowed three people into an igloo that previously might hold two small people. After finishing the igloo we ate a meal from inside the igloo before heading to bed. After waking up we had discovered that there was two inches of fresh snow that had fallen during the night.
