An overnight out and back hike in the Eagle Cap Wilderness along the North Fork of Catherine Creek near Medical Springs, Oregon.

We will walk a little over 5 miles to the meadow near an old cabin from around 1900. Our camp will be by a small stream.

The trail is easy to moderate with a few minimal ups and downs. It is pretty flat easy walking through a beautiful forest with views. There is the possibility of seeing wildlife and the wildflowers flowers should be quite nice.

We’ll get to enjoy a sunrise above the mountains as we sip coffee/beverages.

The plan is to break camp by 9 am and head back out. We will probably stop on the way home for a well-deserved meal.

Here is the All Trails Description and Map for the North Fork Catherine Creek.
