Mt. Aix, DH-4
Steve Ghan, email@example.com
A strenuous but rewarding day hike to the 7766 ft summit of the highest mountain east of Mt Rainier, north of the Goat Rocks, and south of Mt Stuart. The trail gains 4200 feet in six miles to the summit, with reliable water at 3.5 miles and ridge walking the last mile. Expect big views from flowered meadows, but bring an ice axe in case we encounter steep snow. Two liters of water should be enough. Bring your ten essentials (including a warm jacket and cap for the summit) with a hearty lunch. We’re starting early (5:30am) to beat the heat.
Register with the leader by Thursday, June 24. Transportation cost is $25 per person. Northwest Forest Pass is required.
