Max Participants: 5 people per trip leader and socially distanced. If there are other leaders who would like to accompany us, please let me know if you are willing to lead 5 people if there is enough interest.

McNary Dam Wildlife Area, Umatilla, Oregon – Level walking and waterfowl to keep us engaged over the winter season. Migratory and year-round mix of birds to include various ducks, Buffleheads, mergansers, and hopefully bald eagles. This is a take-it-easy hike (1 to 1.5 mph pace).

Directions to trailhead – (61 miles RT) Take I-82 E over the river to first exit in Umatilla, OR. At the end of the ramp, turn right. At the red light, turn right onto Brownell Blvd. Cross tracks and turn right at stop sign onto 3rd street. Go to Ferry street and turn left into wildlife area. Park on right side near bulletin board and picnic tables.
