Madame Dorian Trail, DH-2

Jaynee Levy, jamatola@gmail.com

This 4-mile (one-way) trail, on vegetated but solid sand dunes is in the Wallula Unit of McNary Wildlife Refuge. We will return either on the same trail or along unpaved North Shore road. This area will treat you to views of the Walla Walla River, the bird-rich wetlands of White-Tailed Bay, Sanctuary Pond, Millet and Woodland ponds, in addition to possible sightings of deer and coyote, upland birds such as turkeys, and small mammals. Bring binoculars to enhance your experience.

Many people know this area as Madame Dorian Memorial Park, but the area is operated by the US Fish
& Wildlife Service and is a unit of the Refuge. Directions to the trailhead will be provided to participants.

Everyone provide their own transportation. The trailhead is about a half hour drive from Tri-Cities.
