This hike is such a little gem, it melts out early in the year on a west facing slope. The variety of flowers are too many to count. My most favorite is the sea of yellow lupine towards the end of the hike. This trail starts out at Zig Zag Trail head off of McDougall Road before Tollgate (Mile Marker 14). Come enjoy the less crowded Blue Mountains! This moderate trail descends In a couple places. So there is a little work on the way back. Possible dinner stop on the way back in Walla Walla or a winery. The hike is 5.5 miles RT with about 1100 feet elevation gain.
Sign up by Thursday, May 27, 8pm . Everyone provide their own transportation. The drive is 170 miles RT. If you carpool with someone in your friends’ or family circle, transportation cost is $17.
