Glacier Peak (BP4/G2)
GLACIER
Where: Glacier Peak Wilderness between Everett and Lake Chelan
Leaders: Forrest Heller, Ken Stoops, Ellen Edwards
Description: Glacier Peak is another in the long and pretty category. Lower on technical aspects, it makes up for it in grandeur and distance with a 26+mile round trip. However, everyone I’ve know who has gone has ranked it among their favorites. Gorgeous views and long wilderness treks demand preparedness however, and a willing spirit.
Critical Skills: Long distance efficiency and endurance. Good lightweight camping, water management, crampon technique, glacier navigation, and self-arrest skills
