On this trip we will travel through one of the most scenic sections of the PCT in the Central Cascades, spending much of our time on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) in Alpine Lakes National Wilderness.\nDay 1: Leave Spudnuts in Richland at 7 AM for a three-hour drive to Mineral Creek Trailhead. Folks from Seattle have a two-hour drive to reach the Trailhead. After a one-hour car shuttle with Pete Lake Trailhead and lunch we’ll hike 7.5 miles and 3,400’ up to Spectacle Lake on the PCT where we’ll camp and have dinner.\nDay 2: Hike 10.3 miles, up 3,700’ and down 2.700’ though one of the most scenic sections of the PCT to our campsite on the flanks of Escondido Point. If it is a clear day the views will be spectacular.\nDay 3: Hike 9.4 miles and 3,200 down. Lakeside lunch at Pete Lake then on to our cars at Pete Lake Trailhead.
